How Can Earache Be Treated?

I have had a bad cough (not much coming up) for 11 days, went to the doctor last Monday he said since I had no temp, and my glands were not swollen, I should just take cold meds and Mucinex, I am actually a little worse today, I blew my nose and heard a whistle in my left ear, now the ear is hurting quite a bit, and if I burp it hurts really bad. should I just take Tylenol, and wait till Tuesday to go back to the doctor?

Hello welcome to the health care magic.

In viral upper respiratory tract infection mild earache can occur.
Continue with decongestant drug and steam inhalation done three times a days.

Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily.

If ear pain much more than otitis media has to be ruled out and otoscopy ear examination done and antibiotic course prescribed.

Hope your concern solved
