Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I blew my nose earlier today ( 5 hours ago) and I must have had a nostril blocked. My left ear popped and has been hurting every since. It is a dull ache unless I do something that messes with the pressure (sneezing, coughing, burping etc) I have had put a heating pad on it for a few minutes. There has been no change. Should I see my doctor?? Thanks.
about your question i would like to tell you that these symptoms you mentioned refer mainly to have ear infection bacterial that leads to ear pain feeling you have...............your feeling of these symptoms is common symptom of common cold or bacterial infection of your ear and shouldnot worry about that but follow simple steps........about management of ear pain you should first refer to ent doctor to examine your ear and may require investigations
you can take ibubrufen as it will help alot to improve .......you should also drink alot of fluids .....you should also have bed rest and no severe efforts that worse of symptoms and dont touch your ear with your hands ..... ......
you should do blood test for investigation if symptoms get worse but now you not need that...... and because bacterial infection suggested you can take amoxicillin&clavulinic or erythromycin as it is antibiotic has great effect in treatment ear infection
this infection cause effusion of fluid and this yellowish discharge he had..............the effect of infection should be taken seriously as in some cases this may cause temporary hear loss or damage of ear and permenant hear loss...so treatment should begin as early as possible to avoid these effects...........the treatment mainly with antibiotics such as amoxicillin as it is very effective in ear infections.......
wish you healthy life
