How Can Earache Along With Painful And Swollen Lymph Nodes Be Treated?

Hi. I am a 41 year old female & I have had a mild to moderate left earache(does not feel like an ear infection)for 2 days, along with a swollen painful tongue(only on the left side) & my lymph nodes are sore & swollen only on the left side of my neck. Other than these symptoms I feel fine. Does this require a doctor visit or should I simply wait & see if the symptoms go away on their own? I have no chronic health issues or any diagnosis of any medical issues. Thank you for your help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
It looks like a throat infection, which generally causes ear ache and inflamed cervical lymph nodes.
Warm saline gargles can help soothe the inflammation and pain. Avoid oily and sour foods. Take some throat soothing lozanges.
If this does not help, I would recommend starting an antibiotic like Amoxycillin along with some over the counter pain killer like Acetaminophen.
Consult your doctor for dosage of the drugs.
Hope this answers your question. Thank you.
