Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I can t hear in my ear and I know for a fact that it s earwax blocking it. I have tried 4 drops of equal parts of Rubbing Alcohol and Vinegar, it didn t work at all and seemed to have made it worse because before I tried this home remedy I use to be able to pull the outer part of my ear up and I d be able to hear like normal. Now I can t do that at all. Is there anything else I can do home remedy wise before I actually have to go and see a doctor?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ear blockage which seems to be due to ear infection and meniere's disease and it could be due to ear infection which has spread to the ear through eustachian tube form either upper respiratory tract infection. Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order tests like CT scan , throat swab test and blood tests. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , decongestant and mucolytic agent. Avoid itching and pricking ear with any sharp object and apply dry warm compresses to external ear and cover your ear while bathing.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
