How Can Dry Eyes Be Treated?

My question regards the eye drop, Blink, for dry eyes. It has polyethylene glycol 400 listed as the active ingredient. 0.025% is what it says after the active ingredient. I have chemical sensitivities and am trying to identify what I can and cannot use. I am 60. The older I get, the more things I can t use. Is polyethylene glycol 400/ 0.025% something I should steer clear of? Do you know of another dry eye lubricant that doesn t have PPG in it?

Hello,Welcome to HCM.
If you feel you are chemical sensitive I would recommend you to start any Preservative Free eye drops (like Refresh,Systane,Thera tears,Soothe) 4 times a day.There are many brands available in market both in drop and gel form.They are usually priced higher than the regular drops and comes in single use dispensers but very effective especially for people with very sensitive eyes.

I have seen many patients trying a couple of them before they find the correct one suitable for their eye.
