How Can Dry Cough And Excessive Throat Irritation Be Treated While On Multi-vitamin Pills And Zyrtec?

I returned from an over seas trip (China) with a dry cough that has not gone away for 4-5 weeks. Before the trip I was clearing my throat a lot (according to my wife). This week I have had a couple days that by the end of the work day I thought that I would lose my voice. I am currently taking a multi-vitamin and Zyrtec.

Hello,

A dry cough with hoarseness may be due to viral laryngitis or respiratory tract infection.

Also may be due to oesophagal reflux disease or pharyngitis or post nasal drip or allergy etc.

Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Use syrup Reswas twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
