How Can Depression Be Managed?
I have had a long history of depression. I am 75 yo and have been taking 40mg for several years without any problems . Recently I had to change MDs and my new MD stated that I am too old for 40mg and only prescripted 20mg which really is not working well. What is your opinion?

I can understand your concern. Which medicine you were taking? You haven't mentioned the name of the drug. Fluoxetine comes in 20 mg or 40 mg range. But if the doctor is in opinion to reduce the dose then better to reduce the dose in order to prevent any serious side effects.
