How Can Depersonalization Disorder Be Treated?

Has anyone ever been cured of Depersonalization? I seem to be a typical case. I was about 16-17 years of age. I woke up from a nap in the middle of the afternoon to find my mind feeling very different. Yes, I had a bit of a life threatening childhood. I am 72 years old and have suffered mentally for many years.

Hi. The mainstay of treatment for depersonalization disorder which forms part of dissociative disorders is long term psychotherapy with a therapist that you have build a good therapeutic relationship with. There are different stages in therapy sddressing different things. Other conditions like depression or anxiety are also sometimes found with this and then treated seperately with antidepressants.
Have you in your time ever recieved therapy?
I know it is a difficult disorder to treat
I find this answer helpful
