How Can Cough, Cold And Fever In An Infant Be Treated?

My baby is 40 days old and he suffered from cough, colds and fever. We brought him to a pedia and she gave him oral drops of paracetamol, ambroxol HCL, zedittap, and ephron. After 7 days of medication his condition partially improved, he has no fever and but still he has colds and what we are concerned more is his cough. Its not frequent but when he coughs its like a cough of an adult. We feel a lot of pleghm in his chest but feel helpless as to how can he expel the pleghm. He sleeps well and drink his meal frequently, he has a good apetite. He does not struggle in breathing and his fingers dont have dark colored as sign of low oxygen. He is very normal except for the cough. How can we help him expel the pleghm in his chest.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern .
Some advices that I can to help are:
-Try saline drops to thin the mucus in her nose and shrink swollen airways. Use them two or three times per day; any more often could make her nose sore.
-Increase Fluids.Extra fluids can thin out her mucus so her nose won't be as stuffy and she’ll cough up.
-Give honey. It soothes sore throats and eases coughs.
-Use a humidifier
-Serve Easy-to-swallow Foods
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
