Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Child 8months is having cough and stuffy nose. Refusing to have his formula milk. Giving him corminic drops 3 times a day 1 ml each time. Any medicine in addition to that to relieve the cough. Also he is preferring to have buttermilk what quantity can b given. Also his tongue has a while layer how can I clean that
I am sorry to hear your 8 months old child is going through. Should apply:
- a baby cough balm on the chest and back at bedtime at night to ease the stiffness
- apply nasal saline spray to ease the breathing
- aerosol therapy can help
- raise his head from shoulders
If no improvement within a couple of days should get him checked by a paediatrician to rule out more serious lung infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
