How Can Connective Tissue Disease Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with connective tissue disease. The doctor did not recommend any medicines. Then later I was diagnosed with severe fibromyalsia. Over the years I have had issues with my feet that mimicked MS like not feeling the bottom of my feet, feeling like I was walking on air. But when tested the results were negative for MS, Mind you this was back in the 1990 s. I thought the diagnosis for connective tissue disorder was the same as fibromyalsia. It s only recently with digestive issues of constant diarrhea that I have become worried. I have been diagnosed with IBS. I have pain all the time and fatique. Using trazadone to sleep for about 6 years now. Without it I can t sleep. Have a C-pap too. Please help. What doctor should I see to find out what I really have.?

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Antimalarial drugs. Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) can treat mild mixed connective tissue disease and might prevent flare-ups. Calcium channel blockers.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
