How Can Cold, Cough And Shortness Of Breath Be Treated?

My friend has had a bad cold. For the past 3 or 4 days , he coughs really hard, then loses his breath and then blacks out. He comes to a minute later. I have been to the ER, they give me Z pack and send me home I never know when this will happen. What should I do

Hi,

He may be suffering from acute respiratory tract infection. It may be bronchitis or bronchiectasis or pneumonia or pharyngitis etc.

Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Continue antibiotics and antipyretics.

Use tablet Deriphyllin.

If symptoms not improved please get it done a chest X-ray, complete blood picture, urine examination, sputum examination etc. Along with the reports, consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
