How Can Cold And Chest Congestion Be Treated?

hi I have high blood pressure and take Lisinopril 10mg with HTC daily...im 52 years old...I have a cold, flu like symptoms but no fever, cough, sneeze, itchy throat, I need to loosen up the phlegm, cough is to dry, can I take Mucinex 1200 mg Guaifenesin safely?

Hello!

Since you complain only of cough with tough phlegm you can control that with Mucinex. There is no contraindication to your current medication and Mucinex. You may safely take this medication for controlling the phlegm. In case you develop fever kindly get a blood test done and you may have to start a course of antibiotics.
