How Can Chronic Groin Pain Be Treated?

My husband is complaining of goin pain. The pain lasts for several days then goes away. He has been feeling this for probably the last six months. He has seen our family Dr who said probably a pulled ligament. He does do physical work and has noticed it becomes painful after heavy lifting. Could this be a hernia or something more than a ligament?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The pain in groin your husband has after weight lifting....is morelikely to be weakness in abdominal wall after his job involbving weight lifting.
In such case it can be-
-an inguinal hernia or hydrocoele
-a nurogenisc pain involving muscle pull due to vertebral or disc injury.
He needs a through check up by a surgeon followed by needful investigations &pin poiint the cause followed by specific treatment .
Thanks.
