How can chronic cough along with wheezing be treated?

I have a chronic cough, phlegm, wheeze and crackles. No fever, or body aches. I know that I have chronic reflux and am taking Nexium. My cough seems to have changed in the last weeks to include more phlegm. What do I have? YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a physical examination by your treating Doctor [allergist-immunologist]and to confirm do few tests like [Spirometry, Peak flow measurement, and Allergy skin tests etc]

2)Regarding prescription medications you can discuss about [fluticasone and salmeterol, montelukast, and corticosteroids]

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -

1)Try to avoid smoking

2)Try to avoid irritating gases like industrial pollution, automobile emissions, natural gas stoves and chlorine used in swimming pools etc

3)Try to minimize household allergens. Common household substances such as mold, pollen, dust mites and pet dander can aggravate symptoms so air conditioners, dehumidifiers and thorough cleaning practices, especially in your bedroom, can minimize your exposure to these substances and help you breathe easier.

Hope that helps
