Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has Parkinson's Disease and one of his most chronic symptoms (or side effects) is constipation. He takes up to 3 Dulcolax tablets at a time and still doesn't move. He has taken his neurologists advice and took Miralax daily with no positive results. He also tries Dulcolax suppositories and that doesn't work. He sometimes goes a week without a bowel movement and it makes him miserable, of course. Our family physician recommended he take the laxative everyday so he has done so for the last week and no positive results. Do you have any advice for him?
