Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* The substantial amount of breathlessness does not sound to be side effect of deriphyllin, but it is underlying cardiac problem which is manifesting her breathing problem.
* I strongly recommend to consult her immediately with an expert cardiologist and get her treated accordingly before the condition worsens. Do give me further chance to assist in future.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
