How Can Chest Congestion And Cough Be Treated?

Hi, I have had a bad chest cold. Sore all over in the chest area and the next day the cough started. Dry at first. Getting up and about produce green flem, a lot of it. Every-now and I'd cough a god of something dark, maybe like blood. Just twice. But then the stuff I coughed up tasted metalic. A lot better now after 2 weeks. What was that awful taste?

As per your query, you have chest congestion and cough which is due to chronic chest infection and increased susceptibility of getting affected due to poor immunity.

Visit pulmonologist once and get it examined. You should get X-ray chest done. You should go for pulmonary function tests as well to check exact level of infection. Avoid taking cold carbonated beverages.

You need inhaled bronchodilators and antihistamine drug. You should use mist humidifiers in room. You should drink warm water with one spoon honey and ginger extract. Take steam several times a day, which will be very helpful and take anti histamine.
