I have a catarac and Im sure it s ripened .I am having pain like a scratch feel, and there is a green bb sized thing on the inside of the colored part of my eye. I tried to wash it out with saline drops but didnot help.also tried to pick it up with cotton swab, not coming off.should I go to E.R.?

Welcome to HCM. My first advice would be donot insert anymore cotton swab as it might trigger an infection. If you still have irritation on blinking, redness and can see something visible enough, try taking a handful of regular water and blink your eyes inside couple of times. If that doesn't help, avoid rubbing your eyes and go to ER to remove any foreign body inside your eye / evaluate for any cornea issues.

Wear protective sunglasses and use OTC lubricant drops for relief until you are seen by an eye doctor directly. Take care.
