How can carpal tunnel syndrome in the thumbs be treated?

I had carpal tunnel. Which was operated on then my thumbs started to bend and not work any more. My carpal tunnel doctor said it wasn t caused by that, but could be a nerve issue. I went to see a neurologist. He said he would see me at another time to try to figure it out, but I am on my way south, so it was never done. My concern is if it is going to get so bad while I wait to come back in the spring. What do you think?

welcome to hcm ...carpal tunnel syndrome means that median nerve is being pressed under carpal tunnel ..
if the cause is low thyroid status then thyroid function is regulated
if there is surgical cause then nerve releasing surgery has to be done
please note that the surgery should be done as soon as possible ..as delayed surgery decreases required result
