How Can Can An Avulsion Wound On The Lower Leg Be Treated?

I have an avulsion wound on my lower leg that has not healed since before the beginning of June. I wash it when I take a shower and then cover it with a large band aid that contains an antiseptic. I also have bacitracin that I can use. Saw a doctor in urgent care June 4th and took a course of antibiotics and used an antibiotic cream. What can I do to promote healing?

As you are presently doing, please continue keeping the leg wound clean, by washing, and dressing using an antibiotic ointment. The most important factor for accelerating wound healing is to give rest to the leg as much as is possible. If possible limit your ambulation to the minimum. This will prevent local edema around the wound, and promote healing. If the wound is clean, you need not take any antibiotic.
