How Can Burn Wound On The Fingers Be Treated?

I burned all my fingers and thumb on left hand while picking up a metal lid that my husband left on a hot burner. the pad of my index finger is the worst. skin instantly bubbled and turned white. its been an hour and the pain is still sharp. feels rough and looks cracked. I also have diabetes. not sure if I should have it looked at or not. also not sure how to treat it since I have read no ice or ointments. I was going to use triple antibiotic but now not sure

Thanks for posting on HCM
Treatment will depend on the extent of the burn and how much the skin layers are affected.If too extensive, debridement and regular dressing with prophylactic antibiotics will be indicated.Also, your blood sugar will have to be under control as poor glycemic control may make wound healing very difficult.
