How Can Body Tremors Caused By Valproic Acid Be Treated?

Is there any way to reduce the tremors caused by valproic acid. I have been taking it for bipolar disorder for at least 15 years and the tremors seem to be getting worse. I have seen a neurologist and after extensive testing he has ruled out any other cause such as Parkinson YYYY@YYYY .

Hi there.
If all causes were ruled out it could indeed be a side effect of Valproic acid.
In consultation with your doctor it might be of benefit to try and reduce the dosage to see if the tremor improves.
If it does not, and impairs your functioning it might be worthwile to change to a different drug
