How Can Blood Pressure Level Be Lowered?

HI, I am a 65 male. I am a Master Certified Health Coach and I eat clean healthy meals. I walk an hour every day at a good steady pace. My blood pressure is higher than I would like it. It in the neighborhood of 130/90. What would you suggest for me to get it down to 120/80?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
There is a debate about normal values of blood pressure and its variation with age. Old school physicians will strictly recommend 120/80, then the middle aged ones will recommend 130/90 for your age. Recently, it was also proven that high cholesterol does not significantly precipitate heart disease. I will suggest you to start yoga and breathing techniques to maintain your BP and slowly normalize it to 120/80. But really don't be disheartened if it doesn't get there. But you must not exceed your current values.
Since you are a health coach, you know the value of moderation in alcohol, diet and smoking restriction.

Take care,
Regards
