Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi ! my elbow was broken from bicycle accident.. i have got surgery befo 4 months.. than i have been joining physiotherapy ..i have got my hand extension some improvement but i did not get any bending improve.. so what is the solution for it ?? how can i improve ??
Due to fall, there are changes that there might be small damage to the bone and the muscles of the flexor group of the elbow may have got tightened post surgery.
Getting the optimum range of the elbow movements may take some time but in the slow and gentle pattern.
Doing any vigorous movements at the elbow joint may trouble the implant if any or in another case the muscle microtrauma which will allow the delayed healing of soft tissue.
Continue physiotherapy for time being and wait for the maximum outcome score to come.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
