How can athlete s foot be treated?

I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have athletes foot between one toe on my right foot. I usually use clotrimazole 1% and have for the last couple days, but I read some articles that say it s safe and some that say it isn t. I of course don t want to continue using it if it will hurt my baby, but also want this to clear up so it doesn t get infected. Is it safe?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Clotrimasole 1% can be used during pregnancy so don't worry.Continue to use it by applying at the affected area.
Keeping the feet dry by using cotton socks and breathable shoes can help treating athlete's foot.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
