How Can Anorgasmia Be Treated?

Hello Doctor--I am a 70 year old woman, very active and healthy, and currently on Paxil, which I have been taking for several years. I am getting married next month. (Yes, married--at 70!) and I m having trouble having an orgasm. I hear that buproprion is helpful for people in this situation. Is this taken in addition to Paxil, or do I switch prescriptions? Will it truly be helpful for my problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bupropion can't be taken together with Paxil. There I should no much evidence that it improves anorgasmia but it moderates the levels of norepinephrine and dopamine and this may improve your situation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
