How Can An Umbilical Hernia Be Treated?

i have a hernia it protrudes out my belly button area ,, im will this cause problems in the future . Im 59 yrs old and have recently started a weight loss program joining a gym and have lost 30lbs ( I weigh 300lbs ) I would like to fix it but understand surgery is the fix. I have medicare part A and the V.A as insurance. the V.A says if it doesnt hurt dont worry about it. What do you say
