How Can An Ultrasound Report Indicating Diffuse Thyroid Parenchymal Disease Be Interpreted?

i have been diaognose of hyperthyroidism and my doctor ask me to undergo an ultrasound and the results are. the thyroid isthmus measures 0.50 cm in thickness,the surrounding cervical soft tissue and vascular structures are unremarkable, negative for cervical lymphadenopathies, impression: diffuse thyroid panrenchymal disease

Hi,

Your thyroid gland is showing an altered structural pattern and can be due to inflammation of the thyroid gland. There are no thyroid nodules and likely that you have a benign thyroid condition and can be controlled with medicines. You need to get blood thyroid function tests done and discuss with your doctors.
