How Can An Itchy And Scaly Rash Around The Eyebrow Be Treated?

Hi, I am a 65-yr-old woman who has a rash around my eyebrows and on my forehead. It is itchy, and scaly, and when I scratch it, reveals random little red marks, circular, about the size of a pin head. I have washed it thoroughly with soap and water and face cleanser with no improvement. Also have sterilized it with apple cider vinegar and then applied coconut oil (which does seem to soothe it). I don t have this condition anywhere else on my body. Can you give me a direction in which to go? Or some meds? Martha

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to your complaints it seems to be eczematous rash. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily along with frequent and liberal application of a moisturizing cream on the entire face 2-3 times in a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
