How Can An Insect Bite Be Treated?

Hi I was bitten about 2 weeks ago by a woman. The skin was punctured a bit and a small amount of blood was drawn.I didnt seek medical help but I am getting concerned about the wound as there are several hard lumps under the bite which are sore when pressed lightly, there is also bruising.Do you think I should take trip to the docs or are the symptoms normal and will eventually go away. Many thanks

dear user

these symptoms you feel that caused by insect bite refer mainly to allergic response and immune response of your body to insect bite

from the begining of symptoms you should make ice packs on the injured area to limit inflammation and swelling that result from insect bite
after insect bites histamine release increased and inflammatory mediators release increased in your blood to reach the affected area and cause hard lumps and soreness that you feel
you shouldnot get worry of that now but try to avoid sun exposure of the affected area also if you pressed it or multiple touching it will make it worse so you should avoid that

you can take antihistaminic drugs and if symptoms persist or you have fever you should see your doctor for clinical examination

wish you healthy life
