How Can An Infected Ulcer On The Ankle Be Treated?

I have a leaky ankle ulcer keeps draining/ It is a clear liquid/sometimes yellow/no pain/foot skin is peeling due to wetness/ have had wound mgmt./dieuretics/care from hospitals and doctors to no avail.Should I keep the ulcer covered.clear liquid/bandages have been no use is controlling it. HELP!!!!

I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

As per your description it seems that you are suffering from an infected wound/ulcer of your ankle.
We have to find out the sole reason predispose to this ulcer. It could be diabetes or varicose vein. You have to control blood sugar level.
Since you are oozing clear liquid, I think its due to edema fluid. Do not apply tight dressing. You can apply medicated micropore bandages to the affected wound.
Take a short course of antibiotics.
Take healthy protein rich diet and plenty of of oral fluids to keep your self hydrated.
Proper wound care is important and I suggest you to consult a podiatrist or a general surgeon for proper wound care.
