How Can An External Hemorrhoid Be Treated?

Hi, I have had what I expect an external hemorrhoid for about 5-6 days now, it's about the size of a pea. It is fairly uncomfortable in most positions but not unbearable. Yesterday it looks like it tore or cracked a little at the top and is bleeding just a little bit. Should I see a doctor right away or wait a while longer and just try and take it easy? Most things that I've read have said that it takes about 2 weeks to heal up again I'm just impatient because it's a Royal pain in my arse! Pun intended

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

What you are thinking could be a external hemorrhoids or a prolapsed hemorrhoids and thromboses pile. If external hemorrhoids it would have received by this time to give relief of pain for the time being do SITZ bath three or 4 times a day. Please do meet a proctologist or a general surgeon, he needs to do an examination and let you know further management based on the type of the disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
