How Can Allergic Rhinitis Be Treated?

I have bad allergies to everything, expect nuts!! I suffer with sinus problems which are out of control. The mucus is what is worse. I don t do dairy and have air purifier. I started the allergy shots that put me right back to the worse point of suffering. Had to go to urgent care, put me on Prednisone for mucus and sinus cavity. I cannot continue this vicious circle. Tried Serrapeptase(enzyme) to breakdown protein that cause mucus. Works okay, but I want to be mucus free!! Not big on Pharmacia, prefer natural/organic way to beat this. Any suggestions??

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your allergy testing should be done to find causative allergen. Immunotherapy injection beneficial in allergic inflammation. Kindly provide your CBC report with AEC to check how much eosinophil raised. For allergy Fexofenadine plus Montelukast combination can be prescribed. Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily. One tsp ginger juice and honey also beneficial. If needed for further work up chest X-ray can be done. Consult allergic pulmonologist specialist for examination.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
