How Can Acne On The Face Be Treated?

I had a sudden acne breakout when I reached my 30s. My doctor prescribed the pill which balanced my hormones but after three years I had to stop contraception medication due to other reasons, so the breakout happened again. My dermatologist perscribed antibacter wash and skinoren cream. Everything went well for another two years until I started having cysts on my chin, around my mouth, between my eyebrows. Mainly the gun though. Large cysts that break out and fill in again and hurt. They go all swallen up and then hurt, empty and become red and fill with blood and pus, then break again and go blue and dark and then eventually fade away.. but until then two more have come out. My hygene is super meticulous and I use dermatologicaly safe products (wash/cream/cosmetics). I also started taking probiotics. What should I do?

Hello,

You have an acne outbreak which is very common in your age group and occurs due to the onset of puberty, hormonal changes, and pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum and get infected.

I would suggest you take preventive measures as you are already taking medicine but not get benefited. You should wash your face with mild soap and cold water twice a day Exfoliate your face once a week, apply aloe vera gel and apply azelaic acid. Drink plenty of water and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. If the condition doesn't start getting better in a month, then consult a dermatologist. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics course.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
