How Can Abdominal Pain After A Partial Colectomy Be Treated?

My young nephew had a partial colectomy nearly 3 weeks ago, and the last 2 days has had abdominal pain that has him lying down--he says it s not too bad but I m worried because he s had no pain at all for more than 10 days and now this... We re having trouble getting a call back from the primary Dr. Should he go to ER? Or just wait for his follow-up post-op appointment in a week?

restriction on taking solid food should be there take liquid or semisolid food colonoscopy can be done to asses the status wait for his follow up appointment no need to go to er.by the time you will get appointment you will have complete recovery.
