How Can Abdominal Bloating And Pain Be Treated?

I have a history of multiple occasions of diverticulaitis - at least 2 maybe 3 always on the left side. Endoscopy revealed diverticulosis in the lefy side colon. At what point and how do I consider whether surgery as an option for treatment? I sometimes have a bloated crampy feeling to my left side (descending ?) colon

Hi

Diverticulitis is a disease in which small pouches are formed in colon. So colon gets inflamed and we get crampy feeling. Improve the diet with low fiber content. Surgery is preferred only when symptoms are severe or any complications like infection or abscess formation occurs. CT scan can give useful information to check any complication.

Take Care!
