How Can A Wound On The Thumb Be Treated?

Hello, I am 46 years old and I hurt my thumb. My thumb knuckle pops whenever I bend or unbend it. Is it possible to have wounded myself playing video games on a tablet? I tried a splint I bought at Walgreens but all that does is make it harder to bend and causes more pain when I take it off and bend it. I have no insurance please advise me on what to do next. I appreciate your help. Thank you, Amy

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern.
The pain you describe may be as a result muscle stress/strain or a sprain.I will advise you try a pain drug like aceclofenac and a local pain gel for application like voltaren gel.
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns.
Best regards
