How Can A Wound On The Hand Be Treated?

I have a scraping wound on my right hand and it s somewhat deep. There is a hard covering formed on the wound. It s pale yellow in colour and is stuck to the flesh. I can t understand wether it s hardened pus or the initial forming of scab. When I m trying to remove it, it is painful. I can see some fresh skin under it as I ve pealed some part of it. I m confused and don t know what to do. Please advice.

Hello,

Wound at different stages may exudate and form a scab. It is light yellow may be due to dead tissue which is separated from living tissue. It may turn grey then green, then black. Don't peel it unnecessarily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
