How Can A Tumor In The Kidney Be Treated?

I recently went to the doctor, had a small blood spot in my shorts. Ultra sound lead to a CT scan where they found a 3-4 cm tumor on the kindey. They want to immediately do surgery and remove parts or all my Kindey, but won t be able to tell if it s cancerous until they operate. I am balking, is there any other way for then to tell if I have cancer, a urine or blood test or micro-sample?

Hi,

As per my clinical experience, it is the histopathology report of the removed part of the kidney, which will tell you the exact cause of condition as benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
