How Can A Sprained Foot Be Treated?

I sprained my midfoot 5 days ago and there is still a bruise on foot. I can mostly walk a bit on it before resorting to cane. I sometimes get tingles and sharp pain on roof of foot. Does it need xrays? How long should it take to heal? I m 34 yr old female. Work in fast food and larp as a hobby where i sprained foot running in woods off path.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I suggest you to take T.Myospas BD (twice daily after food) for 3 days and T.Vitamin C OD (once daily after food) for 10 days. Give Ice pack compression for every 1 hour and take adequate rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
