How Can A Spinal Fracture Be Treated?

Why was I told to see an endocrinologist for treatment with proper medication after having a vertebrolasty for compression fracture at t12-l1 due to osteoporis, had already been on foxomax, then atelvia for a number of years, and an orthopedist told me that was too long to be on those medications. Do not want to take the injectable that has a lymphoma tag as my sister has that.

Hello,

When chronic pain from a spinal compression fracture persists despite rest, activity modification, back bracing, and pain medication, surgery is the next step. Surgical procedures used to treat spinal fractures are:
Vertebroplasty
Kyphoplasty
Spinal fusion surgery.
Each type of surgery has its own benefits and risks. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
