How Can A Pulled Muscle In The Abdomen Be Treated?
On Monday (yesterday) I thought I may have pulled a muscle in my right front abdomen, just in the inner left area from my pelvic bone. It only hurt when making sudden movements in the past 15 hours. This morning I am in constant excruciating pain in said region, whether I am moving, lying still or sitting. The pain is worse when trying to move from a lying down to a sitting position or from a sitting to a standing position. Is this likely a pulled muscle or could it be my appendix or something else? I have a tolerance for pain, but I almost feel lightheaded from the pain even as I sit here typing.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I suggest you to do an ultrasound to exclude the appendicitis. If it is a muscle pain you can use anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen 3 time a day and anti-inflammatory ointments for local relief.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
