How Can A Painful Hematoma On The Buttock Be Treated After A Fall?

I had a fall 3 1/2 weeks ago down wooden stairs. I landed completely on the right buttock, which resulted in a large, painful hematoma. There is still an outline of where the bruise was, although the bruising is gone. I am having trouble walking and working out. I feel the internal tissue bouncing up and down when jogging, etc., which is painful. Any advice on relieving the pain? Or eliminating the nodule of hard tissue?
