How Can A Painful Bruise On The Left Side Of The Torso Be Treated?
I went to the doctor because I had a nasty fall and was sent to get exrays the left side of my torso is badly bruised and i am in severe pain and am having trouble breathing. I called back and was told my ribs are not broken even though i feel clicking when i move. i was given a RX for motrin for the inflamation and now i was given a RX for a lidocane patch for the pain. I was only given 3 days off work for recouperation. when I asked for tylenol #3 s because i researched the injury and every article said codiene would help with the pain and breath better so i dont get pnemonia i was denied this by the doctor standing in for my PCP who is on vacation
Hello, Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern
Pain management is very important, especially if pain restricts breathing movement. Tramadol is a better option for pain control than Tylenol#3. So please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider to get a prescription for tramadol. You can also take plain Tylenol (available over the counter) to help with pain.
