Meningioma is a benign tumor of the brain that causes problems by growing in size and pressing the adjacent brain parenchyma. It does not spread to other parts of the body. The only treatment for this tumor is surgery, to be done by an experienced neuro-surgeon. The surgery has its own risks, particularly in this location, but then there is no other option. Also, it can recur in the future after surgery as that is known to occur with meningioma.
