How Can A Headache, Sore Throat And Stomach Ache Be Treated?

I am off school sick and I banged my head yesterday quite hard on the side of my head. I have a headache, sore throat and a stomach ache. I also keep burping even though I havn't eaten anything, and the burbs taste like rotten eggs. Whats wrong with me?

Hi,

I would explain that your symptoms could be related to an infection. Anyway the fact that you had a head trauma, imposes you to an increased risk for intracranial bleeding. I would like to know if you have fever. Did you lose conscience after the head trauma? I would recommend consulting with your GP for a physical check up and some tests:

- complete blood count
- blood electrolytes
- PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation

A brain CT scan may be needed if your headache worsens instead of improving. But, in the meantime, I would recommend having some rest and avoiding possible repeated head trauma.

Hope to have been helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
