How Can A Head Injury In A Baby Be Treated?

My baby fell from the couch face first while he was on my lap. He s 11 months old. He fell face first onto our carpeted floor onto his forehead and then did kind a front flip and bent his neck back pretty far. He s acting normal now. He cried for a few minutes but now he s playing. I m still freaking out and wondering if I should take him to the ER to get checked.

Hi,

If your child experiences a knock, bump or blow to the head, sit them down, comfort them, and make sure they rest. You can hold a cold compress to their head – try a bag of ice or frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel. Seek immediate medical advice if symptoms such as mild dizziness and a headache get worse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
