Hi

Greetings from HealthcareMagic!

Its an unfortunate thing to had a head injury. We should be very careful during head injuries. Initially you had done a very good thing by stopping blood with ice pack and towel. You can wash it softly and repeat the process without any hesitation. But the main thing is during a head injury, there may be chances of internal bleeding. So you should check for other symptoms like vomiting, headache, dizziness etc. If symptoms are there, you have to go for further evaluation. It is always better to go for a CT Scan in case of head injury because sometimes we may miss symptoms. No need to worry about bleeding or clots but take care about complications.

Take Care!
