How Can A Growth In The Nostril Be Removed?
My left inside nostal feels like it is thickening . When I pinch it together on the outside it’s tender . I also think that there is a bad smell to the fluid in my nostril on the left. In the morning it feels like there is a growth in my nostril. I try and scrap it out . It’s been bothering me for about 6 months but I thought it would go away. Any ideas as to what would get rid of it ?

As per your complaint thickening of the nostril, tenderness, and feeling of growth inside the nostril seems most probably be due to the nasal polyp. Nasal Polyp is an overgrowth of soft tissue inside nostrils and hangs inside nostrils and is seen commonly in cases of chronic infections like allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, chronic cold or respiratory infections, asthma etcetera. When it is small it does not generally cause any problem but when it is increased in size it can cause breathing obstruction due to obliterating the nasal passages.
I would suggest you consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and nasal endoscopy. You can be advised steroid nasal drops that will help in shrinkage of the polyp. In case if there is no resolution surgical removal of polyps can be done.
